How much does a pair of glasses cost?
The cost for a pair of glasses can vary greatly due to many factors. Our focus is to keep things simple and our prices transparent. We offer complete, high-quality eyewear systems starting at $300 for Single Vision and $550 for Progressive (no-line). We never want someone who truly needs their glasses to go without. Please reach out to us if we can assist getting you in a pair of glasses at a reduced cost.
Do you take my vision insurance?
Insurance can be confusing. We like simplicity. We don't directly bill vision insurance providers for our services or your materials. We do, however, assist in any way we can to help you submit an out-of-network claims benefit for direct reimbursement. You will need to confirm you have out-of-network benefits. As a courtesy, we extend a 10% discount to vision plan holders that choose us for their eyewear needs.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash (no personal checks), Visa, MC, Discover & Amex, JSpecs Optician Gift Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo and a buy-now, pay later option on purchases over $125 through Afterpay.
Do you offer discounts?
Our mission is to help everyone get a chance to see good and feel good in a pair of eyeglasses from JSpecs Opticians. We offer multiple pair discounts of 50% off your lenses. The complete pair eyeglass packages we offer, include a discount. We may also offer discounts as a courtesy in some situations or to help assist a person in need.
Do you provide eye exams?
We do not. We have great relationships with eye doctors all throughout the KC Metro area. Let us know where you live and we can help direct you to the best Optometrist for a check up of your eye health and to obtain an eyeglass rx!
Can I bring my eyeglass prescription to you?
YES! You have the choice to fill your RX where you feel most comfortable. Simply request your current eyeglass RX from your Optometrist or ask us to do it for you [REQUEST FORM].
Can you put my Rx into an existing pair of eyeglass frames?
Why yes... yes, we can! We encourage you to continue loving and wearing the eyeglass frames that you own. #sustainability With proper care of your eyewear, we can help you build and maintain an eyeglass wardrobe you will be able to enjoy for a lifetime! Styles may come and go, but some spectacles never go out of fashion (or comfort). As long as we deem your eyewear worthy of a new set of lenses, we won't say "no" to new lenses in an old frame. =)
Will I have to leave my frames with you while my lenses are being made?
If this is the first time you have allowed us to place lenses in your frame, it is likely we will need to keep your frame for tracing and edging. After this and for future uses of your existing frame, we can have your lenses edged without you giving your frame up. We promise we will do what it takes to minimize the time without your favorite specs!
How long will it take to get my eyeglasses back after I order them?
We partner with awesome eyeglass labs that care about your new eyeglasses as much as we do. It usually takes 2 weeks for eyewear to return to us for dispense. We are also working hard to acquire our own in-office lab equipment that will greatly reduce turn-around time for you. We know you want your glasses as soon as possible... it's what we strive for.
Can you repair my eyeglasses?
We have connections! If we can't repair your favorite glasses or sunglasses on site, we will outsource your repair. We partner with the best in the industry to offer you unique customization and specialized repairs to your favorite pair of specs!
Do you have petite or XL size frames?
We are inclusive of all head sizes. Come find your favorite pair of specs regardless of your pupillary distance! Trust us, we have experienced the pain of limited choices. We will help fit you in an amazing pair of glasses, no matter the size of your beautiful face.
Do you offer safety glasses?
Safety eyewear may not be beautiful, but those eyes behind them are. We provide industrial strength safety eyewear for your occupational and recreational needs. We stock samples from ArmouRx and offer many choices to meet your specific needs. Our safety packages start at $200 for SV and $450 for Progressives.
Do you offer eyeglasses for children?
Our collection of small-fit and kids eyewear is ever growing. We offer a fun and engaging experience that makes a visit to the Optician an exciting one! Our kids package starts at $200 for a complete pair including blue-light filter protection. If there is a need for a child to receive a pair of eyewear at a reduced cost, please reach out to us.
Do my lenses and frame have a warranty?
The lens and frame vendors we choose to partner with back their product up with a warranty against manufacturer's defects. Every situation is unique and our goal is to ensure that if something happens to your eyewear, we will do what we can to get you back in your eyewear as soon as possible and at little or no cost for replacements.
